My most recent Elite deck, I've gotten to gold consistently with it and could probably take it higher. I love Elites since they have one of the most 'fair' win cons in the game through slow development and heavy interaction with the other player, plus Garen has been considered dog**** since release so you get the bonus of winning with an underdog character.
If you want to tryhard, you could probably drop Garen for Swiftwing Lancer since that's a way better 5 drop and can potentially generate Lady of Clouds/Arrika/J3.
Consider shuffling things around to add Purify since it's super slept on and Ranger's Resolve for board control and because it makes leveling J4 pre-drop super easy. If you DO add purify make sure to run Detain, you can obliterate an enemy champion/win con if you Detain them with one of your followers and then silence the follower after. Concerted Strike is another great combat trick worth consideration that I don't personally run just because I want to keep the overall curve lower.
I've waffled back and forth on keeping Radiant Guardian and Vanguard Redeemer, Radiant is an outstanding stabilizing tool and Redeemer provides much needed card draw in a region that has none.
