Concept:
Our deck is based around the Maokai, Nautilus, Toss, and Deep combos. We try to maintain control with some early creatures to block and gain life with. We don't care at all about dealing damage early. We either end the game with sea monster beat down at the end, or Maokai deck removal.
Matchups:
Aggro:
Untested, but the early creatures, drain/lifesteal, and removal will hopefully be enough to handle them until Ruination or nautilus hit the board.
Control:
We may have to hold our champs until leveled to avoid them being killed to ensure the maokai victory. This will potentially turn into a sort of stale mate
Mirror:
Do not play Maokai until they have played Nautilus, nor Nautilus until they Maokai. They counter each other with their level up ability. This turns into a relatively terrifying waiting game as you both burn down cards, but are holding 3 copies of both champs.
