New update: Climbed up to Plat 2, where I feel meta has changed to include Unyielding Fiora and Vi Heimer, both of which are unfavourable matchups. If you’re facing mostly those decks then I’d suggest changing decks

Great deck! Gets me a win against most aggro decks unless i have a bad hand. Personally i took out a plaza guardian (had a starting hand with 3 of them 1 game D:) and 1 thermogenic beam for static shocks which allows me to deal with both spider spam and that annoying 4/1 scout unit without having to waste a block while also getting me an extra draw.

So I’ve been seeing a lot of Corina control decks revolving around Ledros and/or Vi (you know the one) This deck has a similar alternate win con, but it wasn’t easy to draw into the one copy of Ledros every game.

I took out 1x Thorny Toad for 1x Ledros to improve the chances of drawing him near the same time as my opponent.

Subsequently I ran back into aggro burn decks, so I teched Thorny Toad back in at the expense of Mystic Shot (usually a late game finisher when you need that extra 2 damage or an early game counter against aggro, but not vital imo) I also sacrificed 1x Get Excited for 1x Grasp for the extra heal, while keeping 3 damage Get Excited offered at the same time, albeit more expensive.

Just picked up this deck a few hours ago and I'm 4/1 atm. That doesn't mean anything in the grand scheme of things, because it was Normal, but it was enough to let me know that I really enjoy the way this deck plays. If it's not too much trouble, I'd like to hear more of your thoughts/experiences while playing this deck. I just want to learn as much as possible, but regardless of that I just want to say thanks for posting this list.

Hi there! You’re welcome for the list, thanks for playing the deck!

Personally, I think one key thing about it is that there’s an element of surprise; your opponent won’t know what type of deck you’re playing, hence not having an optimal mulligan.

Apart from that, it’s really about finding answers to your opponents cards, then slowly planting mushrooms in your opponents deck. My playstyle is rather greedy, most of the time I’ll wait for the opponent to commit their cards before I use mine.

Against aggro it’s usually a win if you draw your heal, if you don’t it’s a bricking contest to see whether you can clear his cards without taking too much damage. By Turn 8 it’s likely your opponent has exhausted his cards while you have board control and cards left in hand, so they’ll surrender.

Against mid-range it’s more iffy, especially against the Demacia builds, whereby I’ll usually need a well timed ruination to clear the opponents board and turn the game. After I changed my playing style to use spells to counter the opponents units, I’ve been having far more success in such matchups. Usually I’ll keep the likes of thermogenic beam and some AOE plus early game options.

Against control (usually mao naut or corina and/or vi) I’ll just aggressively plant mushrooms with Peddler and the shrooms generated from clump of Whumps and chump Whump and keep drawing cards. Since I only run 1 copy of Ledros, I usually keep him in my starting hand on mulligan, else hope your card draw draws into him, if not your opponent has an advantage here. At the end game it’s usually ledros him down to Low enough health for the puffcaps to kill him, or the leftover spells in mystic shot and get excited to finish off, just be wary of any heals they might run.

All the best in climbing! It’s a versatile deck so tech in the cards you need as you deem fit, depending on who you run into and you’ll get better with the experience :)

I've played several games and in most situations there really weren't moments where I thought "if only I had <insert random card> in this deck." There were a few matches where I would've liked The Box or a second Commander Ledros just to make it more likely I draw him in time. However for every one of those moments there were just as many where I think I'd miss any substitutions I'd of made for those cards. So I think the problem is likely 90% misplays on my part and not any specific card I should've teched in. I just need to grind more with this deck and learn.

Oh and I also got absolutely steamrolled by this Midrange Yasuo deck that used a lot of stuns. It completely shut down everything I tried.

Not many teemo decks around even in this new meta, so I decided to create one myself :)

Based on personal experience, winrate is around 50+%, slowly but surely been climbing from Gold 4 up to Gold 2 at the moment.

Winnable matchups against aggro burn and control decks, but struggles more with midrange demacia decks (although this could be my own play style issue, I’ve won the last two games against Demacia, but it was a steady string of losses before that)

Mulligan against aggro: Generally board clear, heals and early blockers (Vile Feast, Thorny Toad, Withering Wail, Mystic Shot) possible to keep a Chump Whump to deal with the 1/4 Boomcrew Rookie

Mulligan against control: Cards which plant mushrooms or generates puffcaps and card draw(Teemo, Clump of Whumps, Puffcap Peddler, Glimpse Beyond)

Overall, deck should have great draw mechanics (Glimpse Beyond and Progress Day) and sufficient board clear to enable the puffcaps to slowly build up. Plaza Guardian is a decent option middle to late game, and Ledros acts as a finisher if you struggle to break your opponent down.

Hope someone manages to pilot this deck up into the top ranks :)

QUICK EDIT!!! In the time I posted this deck to now, I’ve managed to climb into Plat 4 :)

If you love Teemo and have been waiting ever so long for a viable deck, this is it, albeit it takes some practice with the deck to get it right. Only deck I didn’t manage to win was a Braum Fizz combo :/ but apart from that I’ve won most matchups before so :)
